What is QBFT?
QBFT (Quorum Byzantine Fault Tolerance) is a Byzantine Fault Tolerant consensus algorithm designed for permissioned blockchain networks. It provides immediate finality, low latency, and deterministic block production.
Consensus Parameters
Target time between blocks. Validators propose blocks every 5 seconds for predictable transaction confirmation times.
Number of blocks per epoch (~41.67 hours). Used for validator set changes and checkpoint validation.
